Marika Nishe 83, of Saint Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2025 surrounded by her husband and three children and son in law. Marika was born in Durres, Albania to Dhimiter and Vangjeli Kosta, both deceased. When she graduated from high school with highest honors, she earned a full scholarship to study engineering in a university in Bulgaria and later completed her studies at the University of Tirana, Albania.
She was a scientist in her industry where contributed her knowledge to many projects throughout the nation. When she retired, she supported her husband in the family business. She relocated to NYC in 2000 and she moved to Saint Petersburg, FL in 2022 to live with her oldest daughter, Ola, son in law Tom and her husband Josif.
Marika was an exceptional chemical engineer, admired for her intelligence, dedication, and the meaningful contributions she made throughout her career. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she poured her heart into her family, always putting her loved ones first.
Her passion for dress designing was more than a hobby-it was an art form. She created beautiful dresses and clothing for her family, each piece stitched with love and care. Her designs reflected her vibrant spirit and became treasured gifts for us.
Marika's kindness, warmth, and generosity drew people to her. She was deeply loved by many and will be remembered for her radiant smile, unwavering love, and the legacy of compassion she leaves behind.
She is survived by her loving husband, three adult children, a beloved granddaughter Mary Zoe, two son in laws Gus and Tom who loved her dearly.
