Norman Carl Peirolo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 24, 2025.

Norman Carl Peirolo, age 70, of Largo, FL, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2025, after an extended illness. Born July 27, 1954, in Stafford Springs, CT, he grew up enjoying time with family and friends before relocating to Florida in the late 1980's. He leaves behind a loving family; Wife, Judy Peirolo, Mother, Virginia Peirolo, Sister, Sandra Perko (Michael) of Stafford Springs, Brother, Leland Peirolo of Bisbee, AZ, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

From the moment he received his drivers license, his passion for cars began shaping his life and bringing him great joy and pride. He spent countless hours working on a diverse range of models, and eventually settling on a handful for his personal collection.

The hunt began over 30 years ago, with his first acquisition of a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible that had been in storage and abandoned by the previous owner. He found great satisfaction in the meticulous process of restoring it to its original glory and breathing new life into a forgotten automotive treasure.

He would often be seen doing simple errands around town in his 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe from the moonshine era. His cars drew curiosity seekers and he had the ability to weave compelling stories about each, bringing them to life. He was a member of several car clubs; whether attending shows, participating in collector events, or simply engaging in conversations with fellow enthusiasts and spectators.

Norman's career began in Stafford Springs in the health industry, and continued as a Healthcare Administrator in St. Petersburg. One day he was offered a job as a stump grinder and presented with the opportunity to learn a new skill. It was at that time he discovered his love of working outdoors. With hard work and his love of the trade, he eventually went on to establish his own business as "Norm's Stump Removal," which he built for many years until his retirement.

He will be remembered for his passion for classic cars and pride he had in his business; both requiring precision, hard work and deep dedication.
