Mariko House

Mariko House, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Friday, May 30, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born on December 3, 1930 in Osaka, Japan. Mariko came to the US in 1958 and was married to Donald A House. She worked in the cafeteria in the Chelmsford school system and for many years she was the baker for the Center school. After retiring she went on to run the kitchen at Palm Manor nursing home for 10 years. Mariko is survived by her son and daughter Douglas House and Glenda Jennings; daughter-in-law Margaret House; her son-in-law Mark Jennings; and her grandchildren Bryan, Zach and Chantal Jennings. Mariko was predeceased by her longtime life partner Gus DeGrandis with whom she enjoyed travelling throughout New England and Canada. The Family would like to thank the staff of Lowell General Hospital for their care and kindness. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date.
