She is survived by her daughter, Judy Edelson (Michael)
of Germantown, son Alan Sher (Nan Mulligan) of Boulder, CO, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Marilee was born in Memphis and raised in Bells, TN. She attended Duke University
for 2 years and graduated from Ohio State University with a social work degree. She
moved to Louisville to work after college. There she met Frank Sher who she was happily married to for 59 years.
Marilee was an avid bridge player, expert seamstress and invaluable volunteer.
However, being with her children and grandchildren gave her the greatest joy.
Services will be held at the Temple Israel Levy Cooper chapel on Friday, March 28
at 2:00 pm. Memorials can be sent to the Memphis Jewish Home or Temple Israel.
