Marilyn Becherer passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family in Simpsonville, South Carolina on February 6, 2025 at the age of 88.
She was born December 7, 1936 in Ewing, Illinois, the daughter of Elwood and Fern Roberson. She married Luther Becherer June 17, 1956 and resided in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with 37 years of marriage.
She is survived by her son, Mark Becherer and her daughter, Ann Satterfield, both residing in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Marilyn is also survived by her grandsons, Matt Becherer and Miles Becherer, both residing in Atlanta, Georgia.
Marilyn worked at Dr. Alan Anderson's office in Mount Veronn, Illinois for many years, followed by Tri-County Electric for many years. She was an avid bowler, loved to dance, and play cards with all her friends. She enjoyed working puzzles and was known as the "Puzzle Queen." She loved the pool, beach and, sun-tanning.
Marilyn was described by all who knew her as uplifting, joyful, cheerful, funny, sassy. She was a ray of sunshine who will truly be missed.
A Celebration of Life is being planned at a later date with details to follow.
