Marilyn Ferenc Obituary
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tony Vodicka.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Ed Ferenc; Children, Kathy (Jeff) Robinson, Tish Vodicka and Joe (Kelly) Ferenc; grandchildren, Alex, Tyler, DJ, Tanner, Trevor, Eddie and Gus; and sister, Arlene Fritz.
She was a long time member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Marilyn was rooted in her faith.
She had a heart full of laughter, loved sharing jokes, and chatting with anyone who would listen! Marilyn found joy in dancing to Polka music and had a remarkable talent for crafts, often creating beautiful pieces for loved ones, including blue ribbon winners at the Medina County Fair. Together with her husband, Ed, Marilyn enjoyed setting up a table at countless flea markets, or partaking in Buzzard Day in Hinckley.
Also known for her culinary skills, Marilyn was an amazing cook who delighted her family with traditional German and Slovak dishes, from perogies and strudel to sauerkraut soup and pastries.
She was a talented florist in her earlier years, balancing her craft with raising her children. Marilyn's love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life, and she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who filled her home with warmth and care.
We want to have a special thank you to the staff at the Lutheran Home, Concord Reserve. You were not only caregivers, but became family. God's blessings to all of you.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, to please consider a donation to Bethany Lutheran Church in Parma, OH or MS Society.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A service will begin at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Ben Vogal officiating. This will be held at BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 RIDGE ROAD, PARMA, OH 44129. A private burial will take place after where Marilyn will be laid to rest.
