Marilyn Kay Hartshorn, 68, of South Zanesville, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 4th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 19, 1957, and was a very loving mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend.
Marilyn loved more than anything to spend time with her family. Her smile shined so bright when she could enjoy the company of her loved ones. She enjoyed crocheting, mushroom hunting, and cracking a joke whenever she could. She loved making people smile, laugh, and feel ever so welcome into her life. She had a big heart and cared so deeply for those around her.
Marilyn is survived by her 3 sons, Keith (Heather) Cogar, Bryan (Skye) Cogar, and Brad (Melvina) Cogar; her life partner, William Westfall; grandchildren, Braxton, Quincy, Brooklyn, Treyvin, Adalynn, Deklyn, Elianna, Lucas, Gavin, and Oakley; siblings, Tom (Brenda) Hartshorn, Rodney Hartshorn, Chester Hartshorn, Joann (Gary) Rose, and Mary (David) Porter; and along with many other family members.
In addition to her parents, Etta and Jack Hartshorn, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Lenny, John, and Randy Hartshorn; and sisters, Norma Rose, Kathy Miller, and Tina Brown.
There was a public visitation held on Thursday July 10, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Heinlein Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio with cremation following, per Marilyn's wishes.
