Marilyn Louise House, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on Friday, September 29, 1944, her life was a tapestry woven with love, loyalty, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys found in everyday moments. Marilyn was a devoted member of Aulsbury Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Bonne Terre, where her faith and community spirit flourished.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Beatrice (Barbey) Pinkston; loving husband, Larry Gene House; her brothers and sisters, Charlotte (Jim) Hickman, Darrell Pinkston, Vernon (Gwen) Pinkston; sisters in-law, Cheryl Pinkston and Margaret Pinkston.
Marilyn is survived by one beloved son, Keith House and wife Cindy; two grandchildren, Nathan House and Amanda Bellson and husband Matt Bellson; two great grandchildren, Elliot and Alexander Bellson; one sister, Cheryl Johnson; two brothers, Leon Pinkston and wife Kay; and Gayle Pinkston; brother in-law and sister in-law; Burman “B” White and wife Anna; dear friend and associate pastor, Lindell Richardson along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Marilyn's love for farm life was evident in everything she did. She found great joy tending to her cows and caring for her beloved dogs. Known for being lighthearted and carefree, she often welcomed the dirt beneath her feet, preferring to be barefoot as she embraced the beauty of nature. Her green thumb was palpable in her cherished garden, where she nurtured not just plants, but also her family’s connection to the earth. Camping adventures in the great outdoors filled her heart with happiness, creating lasting memories with her loved ones. She often adorned herself with bright jewelry, reflecting her vibrant personality and zest for life. Yet, above all, nothing brought her more joy than her family, especially her son, Keith House, and daughter-in-law, Cindy House. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and her devotion to them was unwavering.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Visitation will resume on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Aulsbury Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Bonne Terre from 9:00 A.M. until service time of 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mike Krampf officiating, burial will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery in Farmington. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made in honor of Marilyn to Aulsbury Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Marilyn's passion for life and unyielding love for her family will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
