Marilyn Ingman Obituary
She was born and raised on a farm outside of Wausa, Nebraska in 1931 to her parents Harry and Helen Nelson. Her father died young in 1944 and they moved to Minneapolis to live with relatives. She attended Minnehaha Academy HS, she met Robert Ingman, and they married in 1951. Bob passed in 2015. She had an older brother Marlind, who passed away in 2000.
Marilyn was a wonderful porcelain artist and made thousands of pieces with her own kiln over the years. She loved flowers, fishing, cooking, and entertaining. She volunteered extensively throughout her life, loved to serve, and be of service.
Marilyn is survived by son Jim (MarySue) and daughter Mary Robinson (Ken) and three grandsons - Mark (Anj), Ryan (Jaxs), and Branden (MaryBeth), 5 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
Thank you to the many wonderful staff at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington, where she resided the past 15 years.
A memorial service will be at Pres Homes of Bloomington Chapel (9901 Penn Ave S) on April 17, 2026, at 10 AM with a short gathering immediately after the service.

It was a privilege to work alongside Marilyn at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington. I learned so much from her dedication to serving others in a quiet, caring, and compassionate way. Her presence will be deeply missed.
