Boise, Idaho - Susann Ingman, a devoted mother, grandmother, and passionate patient advocate, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 79. She lived a life marked by love, creativity, and commitment to her community. Susann will be remembered for her sense of style and the way she carried herself with grace and confidence.
Susann was a remarkable woman known for her distinguished professional career as a Patient Access Specialist. Her time with St. Luke's spanned 24-years and through her position in prior authorization, she fought tirelessly to ensure that patients received the vital medication they needed. She had a superior gift at developing relationships with everyone she worked for and with, which led to many of her advocacy and fundraising victories. In addition, she took great pride in her work as event coordinator for the annual Association of Idaho Rheumatology (AIR) conference in Sun Valley.
Prior to moving to Idaho, Susann enjoyed vibrant years in Los Angeles with a long career in the entertainment industry. As talent coordinator, she worked with Joe Siegman of Siroco Enterprises to produce television shows such as Celebrity Bowling, Celebrity Tennis, and Norm Crosby's Comedy Shop.
Above all, Susann took immense pride in her role as a mother to her daughter, Melissa (Charlie). The bond they shared was the cornerstone of her life, and Charlie was the center of Susann's world. Susann's love for her daughter was matched only by the affection she had for her three granddaughters, who were a continuous source of endless joy.
Susann was an exceptional quilter, and she excelled in her craft with a sincere sense of passion and creativity. Her intricate and beautiful quilts were not only a testament to her artistry but also to the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.
She fondly remembered her childhood and summer days spent on Deep Creek Lake. She continued this tradition with her own family on the Payette Lake in McCall. She particularly loved boating and jet skiing. At sundown, she would enjoy wine, seafood, and s'mores.
Susann is preceded in death by her parents Don and Margaret Evelyn. Susann is survived by her daughter Melissa (Charlie), granddaughters Kira, Taylor, and Megan. Also, her older sister Alice (her children), younger sister and brother in-law Pat and Ken, and niece Shannon, all with whom she shared countless memories and adventures.
Susann's legacy is one of love, creativity, and unwavering advocacy for those in need. Her spirit imparts a timeless message: live life to the fullest, pursue your passions with relentless determination, and explore the world with courage, regardless of financial constraints. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of life will be held in the coming days, with details to be shared with family and friends.
