Marilyn Kay Jenkins

Marilyn Kay Jenkins, of Plain City, Ohio passed away peacefully in the arms of Jesus, at the age of 80 on Friday March 27th, 2026.

Kay was born on October 23rd, 1945, the youngest daughter of the late Arthur and Ida (Miller) McKelvey.

On July 18th, 1970, Kay married her loving husband Joe Jenkins in Circleville, Ohio.

Kay was preceded in death by her son Benjamin Jenkins on June 4th, 2024, brother Joe (Mary Ann) McKelvey, sisters Betty (Gene) Koelker, Freda McKelvey and Reada (Howard) Brock.

She is survived by her loving husband Joe, her two well loved grandchildren; Bishop Jenkins and Piper Jenkins. She is also survived by two sisters; Norma (Noel) Burton of Circleville, Ohio and Patricia (Steve) Humble of Winchester, KY, sister-in-law Lois (Buck) Deskins of Tipp City, Ohio. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kay was a good cook. She cooked at Circleville "Mount or Praise Camp" meetings for many years. She cooked at Der Dutchman restaurant as well. Kay retired from the Upper Arlington School System in the Food Service Department.

Kay was very involved in our local Cornerstone Church, she led singing, led the choir, sing at special events and even played the piano at times. Kay loved to sing! She was known for her loving personality, and love for others. She had a great memory for people and their names.

The Jenkins family would like to thank the Cornerstone Church for being our home church for 56 years and to Care 360 Hospice for the love and care you have shown.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday April 1st, 2026 from 10 AM-Noon at Ferguson Funeral Home 202 East Main Street Plain City, Ohio 43064, funeral service will follow at Noon with Pastors Mark Barth and Phil Conrad presiding. Interment to follow at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City, Ohio.
