Marilyn Jensen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bowers Funeral Home - Houlton on Mar. 2, 2026.
ENFIELD – Marilyn Pearl "Hatch" Jensen, 87, of Enfield, Maine, peacefully entered the arms of her Savior on February 28, 2026. When Jesus called, "Marilyn, come forth," she answered with joy and stepped out of her earthly body into her eternal home.

Born in Howland, Maine, on April 25, 1938, Marilyn was the daughter of Pearl and Florence "Briggs" Hatch. She entered this world in the very home built by her father, a place that held the foundation of her faith and family values she would carry throughout her life.

Marilyn's greatest legacy was the love of God she instilled in her children; she lived her faith every day. For many years, she was a beloved fixture in the halls of her church, where she taught Sunday School and nurtured the spiritual lives of children with her characteristic patience and warmth. She was also a gifted creator; her handmade treasures were a staple of church fundraisers, helping to support the mission she held so dear.

More than anything, she was a wonderful mother. Her home was a place of prayer, laughter, and encouragement, and her lessons on kindness and grace will remain etched in the hearts of her family forever.

She is survived by a family blended and blessed with love, including her children: Robert (Tracie) Thibeault, Glen (Lynn) Thibeault, Kimberly Jensen, Staci (Jim) Robertson, Darci (Becky) Jensen-Thibeault, Tina (Bill) Ireland, Tony (Roxanne) Jensen, Kari Jensen, and Timothy (Judy) Jensen. She also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd; her parents, Pearl and Florence; her sons, Reginald (Darlene) Thibeault and Jack Thibeault. She was also predeceased by her siblings: Francis, Reginald, Harold, Madeline, Herbert, Leona, Donald, and Robert; her mother- and father-in-law, Hazel and Albert Jensen; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law, whom she loved.

We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to her daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Jim, for the devoted care they provided, which allowed Marilyn to remain in the comfort of her home. We also offer a special thank you to her niece, Laurie, for her love and support, and to Jessica and Amanda from Beacon Hospice for their kindness and support.

Interment will be held in the spring at Howland Cemetery.
