Marilyn "Jean" (Comins) Keith, 80, of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30th. She was born on August 5, 1944, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Comins.
Jean will be remembered for her quiet strength, compassion, independence and unwavering dedication to both her family and her community. She had a gift for bringing people together and found great joy in building dynamic, inclusive communities-whether through her work at North Shore Community College, her time spent in Carrabassett Valley, or in the everyday moments shared with those closest to her.
She is survived by her son, Josh Keith, and his wife, Jen Blum, of Norfolk; and her beloved grandchildren, Lane and Wren Keith. She is also survived by close friends and her former husband, Rocky Keith.
Visiting Hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Wednesday, July 9th from 2pm to 4pm. Jean, was a very warm, compassionate perso n that I considered a dear friend. I worked many years at North Shore Community college for her but she was so much more than that. I and two other friends would always go up to Maine at her beautiful condo. We would have so much fun and enjoy the weekend before getting back to our work on Monday . She was loved by many because she loved everyone . She cared for people and she genuinely loved them. The Earth has a very special person. After her retirement, Jean would always invite me to have lunch and to keep in touch. She will be sorely missed. I'm sure she went to heaven on the wings of her guardian angel. Blessings to her son Josh and wife Jenn and her two beautiful grandchildren and to her extended family. God bless you Jean.
Blessings and Jacqui DeLorenzo.
