The Cincinnati Reds lost their no. 1 fan on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, with the passing of Marilyn Betz Moore.

Born on December 5, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Marilyn is survived by her daughters Pamela Bonomini and Laura Lach, granddaughters Lauren (Clifton), Nicole (Neil), Heather, Andrea, step grandsons Brian, and Adam, great grandchildren Phillip, Brianna, and Luke, beloved cat Buddy, and many extended family members and friends.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband Woody, mother Viola Elizabeth Betz (née Sparks), father Harry G. Betz, and her siblings Shirley, Joseph, and Harry.

Marilyn lived most of her life in Mount Washington. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and never missed a family event if she could help it. The Cincinnati Reds were her lifelong love. There was nothing Marilyn enjoyed more than a superb ball game with some Cracker Jacks and White Castles. Marilyn met legendary Pete Rose countless times, and he greeted her by name throughout the decades. She had an extensive collection of autographed cards, baseballs, and memorabilia. An avid collector, she also enjoyed collecting Madame Alexander dolls, Barbies, Hummels, and more. She loved Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond, and was able to see both in concert. Nobody laughed more easily than Marilyn.

The graveside service will be held September 27th, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Mount Washington Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Animal Rescue Fund, Inc. (ARF), or Bethany House.
