Marilyn Natter Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 27, 2024.
Marilyn M. Natter, 87, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Marilyn was born in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Rose Gritz.
Marilyn is survived by her sons Ben Siegler and Glenn (Pietera) Siegler; her daughters Amy (Ken) Jeacoma and Bethany Siegler (Stan Boyd); her sister Judith Peck; along with her stepson David Natter (Caryn Cornell-Natter). She is also survived by her grandsons Justin (Michelle) Jeacoma, Brandon Siegler (Bri Serpone), Jesse (Rebecca) Siegler, Cory Jeacoma (Talia Robinson), Dylan Siegler, Cameron (Kayla) Siegler, Nevin Jeacoma, Riley Siegler (Vanessa Gotlieb); her step-granddaughters Melanie Natter and Jessica Natter; her great-grandsons David, Jonathan, and Rylan; her great-granddaughters Ava-Rose, Aida.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rose Gritz; her father Joseph Gritz; her sister Alberta (Buddy) Cohen; her brother Jerome (Selma) Gritz; her spouse Arthur Natter; and her brother-in-law Jerry Peck.
Marilyn was also known by Mar, Matsy, and Merlin (because she was magical to many of us). In addition to her kids calling her mom (mommy), most people thought of her as their own mother. Friends would tell us "She is so cool, I wish she was my mom". When someone was in pain she was greatly caring, kind, and an amazing listener who offered tremendous support.
In addition to the full-time 24/7/365 day work of being an amazing mother, she was also an extraordinarily talented artist (watercolors, charcoal, polymer clay...), a beautiful singer, and she even taught herself to play guitar. She adored having her children (and later her grandchildren and great-grandkids) gathered around her singing and/or painting with her.
When she wasn't creating, she was working. Marilyn had a tremendous work ethic, some of her work included being the Executive Secretary to the Branch Manager of Sherson Lehman American Express and running the prestigious art studio of Carol Hall.
We will miss her laughter, her sense of humor, and her hugs. To us, she is unforgettable.
A Funeral Service for Marilyn will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 at 2:30 PM at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412. Marilyn will be buried with her late husband Arthur Natter at the South Florida Veterans Cemetary 6501 S SR 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449 on Monday, April 1st at 10:30 AM. If you plan on attending, please be there no later than 10:15 AM. When you pull in, look for Lane 1 and pull behind the hearse and any other cars that are there. And join us for shiva after.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marilyn's memory may be made to Trustbridge Hospice.
