TOPSFIELD- Mrs. Marilyn P. (Robar) Fudge 78, of Topsfield, beloved wife of Ronald S. Fudge, died May 21st, 2014 at the Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield, Surrounded by her loving family. Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Innes and Gladys (Sleeth) Robar. She was raised and educated in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1954. She was a resident of Topsfield for the last 52 years of her life. Known as "Mallie" to her husband and "Lala" to the rest of her family, Marilyn was a dedicated wife, mother of four, and grandmother to five. In her spare time, she ran the home operations of the family business, R.S. Fudge & Sons. Marilyn was happiest when she was spending time with her family, and happier still if that time was in Florida or on a cruise. She loved the simple things in life - a good joke, a day at the beach, getting ice cream with her grandchildren or fried clams with her husband - but most of all she loved people. She made friends wherever she went and couldn't buy a cup of coffee without learning the life stories of half the people in the shop. Her home was always open to anyone who wanted a drink, a meal, or just a chat, and she never said no to a party. Her loss will be mourned by all whose lives she touched. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Dr. Deborah Fudge of Atkinson, NH and her fiancé Dr. Doug Fryday and Cheryl Fudge of Santa Monica, CA and her partner Hays Westbrook, her sons, Ronald Fudge Jr. of Gloucester and Dr. Douglas Fudge and his wife Esta Spalding of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, her grandchildren, Kaitlin and Allison Varga and Nicholas, Cody and Gemma Fudge and several nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St. (rte 62) Danvers, Saturday, May 31st from 2 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Marilyn's memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 51 Blossom St, Boston, MA 02114.www.shrinershopitalsforchildren.org .
