Died: January 26, 2025 in Joliet, IL
Marilyn J. Pasch, age 89, a resident of Plainfield, IL and formerly of Naperville and Yorkville, IL, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL. She was born on November 28, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Warren & Mary (Dewey) Bennison. Her family settled in Hinsdale, IL where she spent most of her childhood. She attended and graduated from Hinsdale Central High School where she met the love of her life - Herbert Pasch. They got married on March 31, 1956 and Marilyn joined her husband in Germany during his time in the Army. After Herb got out of the Army, they settled in Naperville, IL in the 1960's. They had 3 sons and enjoyed camping and travelling all over the United States. Marilyn and her Husband owned and operated the Launder-Rite Laundromat in downtown Naperville. They eventually got into the Gemstones Jewelry business and then Marilyn finished out her working years at Sears, eventually retiring so she could babysit for her four grandchildren. This was the Joy of her life. Marilyn and her Husband did everything with their grandchildren. They did not miss a single sporting event, Birthday party, Graduation or any other major event in their lives.
Marilyn had a lot of talents. She loved to sew and would often make Halloween costumes for all of her grandchildren. She was a beautiful artist and created many gorgeous works of art that her family will always treasure. She always had a green thumb and loved working on the beautiful landscaping she created on the 3 acres in Yorkville where they built their dream home - a Log Home. While Herb would mow the lawn, Marilyn would tend to all the flowers and plants surrounding the Log Home.
Her grandchildren were her whole world and she truly enjoyed watching them grow and being such a big part of their lives. Her grandchildren will cherish the memories created with their grandma forever.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Terry (June) Pasch of Oswego, IL, Donald Pasch of Plainfield, IL, and Kevin (Ellen) Pasch of Plainfield, IL; her grandchildren, Allen and Matthew (Megan) Pasch, Michael (Liva) and Don Pasch, and Jason, Ben, Sarah, and Scott Pasch; her sister, Doris (the late Richard) Ade; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Herbert Pasch in 2012; her parents Warren and Mary Bennison, and her grandson, John Pasch.
