Marilyn "Jean" Piehler

MARILYN PIEHLER Marilyn "Jean" Piehler, 82 of Rushville, IL passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, IL. She was born February 13, 1943, in Beardstown, IL, the daughter of the late Benson and Marie Wessel Hager. She married Richard "Dick" Piehler on January 11, 1963, in Rialto, CA. He survives along with (1) son, David Piehler (Deborah) of Beardstown, IL; (1) daughter, Amy Crum (Mike) of Rushville, IL; (4) grandchildren, Hannah and Addison Crum, Chase and Ella Piehler; (2) sisters, Judy Carlsen (Roger) of Frankfort, IL and Donna Hickernell (Bob) of Rushville, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by (1) sister Elaine Taylor. Jean was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beardstown, IL. She worked for Illinois Bell Telephone and later for California Bell Telephone. After raising her children, she and Dick owned and operated Ready Equipment Rental. Jean loved the outdoors, walking, gardening, sewing, going on Classic Car Cruises and Classic Car Shows with her husband. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown, IL with Pastor Catherine Burnette officiating. Interment will follow at the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. till time of service at the church. Memorials are suggested to the First Evangelical Church of Beardstown, IL.
