Marilyn "Chris" Pratt, 91, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away on October 21, 2025.
Chris was born in Ipswich, MA, in 1933, and graduated from East Bridgewater High School. She was dedicated to her career as an executive assistant. She was called out of retirement to apply her innate eye for design by overseeing the interior décor of one of the company's new medical offices -a testament to her creativity and professionalism.
Family was at the core of Chris' life. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where family and friends would come together to share in celebrations, delicious food, and endless laughter. A lover of summers on Cape Cod, she cherished the beauty of beaches. She also doted on her grandchildren and took great joy in mentoring each of them.
Chris loved the arts in all forms -music, theatre, and creativity always inspired her. She found true happiness in dancing, reading, and writing.
A former member of the Union Congregational Church, Chris drew strength from her faith and lived with dignity, compassion, and connection to her community.
She is survived by her children: Yvonne Pratt, Michael Pratt and partner Michael Mulyk, Darlene Hoxie, Denise and husband Frank Conroy, Effie and husband Dave Williams, and Jennine Pratt. She is survived by her grandchildren: Anna, Emily, Shannon, and Alex Hoxie, Christopher, Shaylyn, and Taryn Conroy, and Winter Williams, as well as her great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister Mary Rose and brother Fred McLeod. She was predeceased by her husband of twenty-eight years, Charles Bruce Pratt, and later her partner Gerald Frawley.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, October 27th, from 10:00 -11:30 a.m. with a 11:30 a.m. funeral service to follow, at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, 666 Plymouth Street, Whitman.
