Marilyn Ranney Obituary
Marilyn was born on September 14, 1936 in Faulkton, SD to Frank and Nellie (Travis) VanPelt. She attended school in Faulkton and graduated from Faulkton High School in 1954. She was united in marriage to Lyle Ranney on June 2, 1956 in Faulkton. During Lyle's 38 years of government service, they lived in Buffalo, Howard, Ipswich, and Huron where they remained after his retirement in 1988.
Marilyn was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed baking and cooking.
She is survived by her two sons, Mike (Vicki) Ranney of Huron and Dave Ranney of Collinsville, TX; one grand-daughter, Jennifer (Spencer) Christensen of Huron; and two great-grandchildren, Kenny and Chasety. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lyle in 2014, and one sister, Wilma Kegler.
