Marilyn Rochelle Richards, age 92, passed away on Monday December 15, 2025, in Shawano. Marilyn was born on June 20, 1933, in Shawano to the late Sidney and Meta (Reinke) Richards. Marilyn enjoyed traveling extensively all through Europe, Alaska and the World's Fair in 1965. She lived a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and generosity. Side by side with her lifelong love, Al whom she enjoyed 65 beautiful years with, she found great joy in traditional supper clubs, savoring good food and even better company. Together they shared many happy days on the golf course, along quiet fishing waters, and at the bowling alley, creating memories rooted in companionship and devotion. She was a passionate philanthropist who gave selflessly to many charities, always thinking of others and eager to make a difference wherever she could. Independent and intelligent, she carried herself with strength and grace, yet her true gift was her enormous heart. Loving, kind, and endlessly fun, she had a way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and deeply cared for. Her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Marilyn devoted her life to caring for others, especially children, through her work as an elementary school teacher in the Shawano and Gresham School Districts. She took great pride in nurturing young minds and guiding her students with patience, kindness, and encouragement, leaving a lasting impact on countless children and families. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of Peace United Church of Christ, where she generously volunteered her time whenever there was a need. Whether in the classroom or her church community, Marilyn gave of herself wholeheartedly, always serving with compassion, humility, and love.

Marilyn is survived by her cat, Tommy; and many loving and adoring family and friends.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Meta Richards and her life long partner Al Luniak who passed in 2020.
