Marilyn Yarbrough Steen, age 64, of Carrollton, AL died February 5, 2026 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Garden Baptist Church in Aliceville with Bro. Mike Ezelle officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Forest Home, AL in Wilcox County with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John David "J. D." Yarbrough and Martha Harrell Yarbrough; father and mother-in-law, J. C. Steen, Jr. and Claudia Steen; brothers-in-law, Rusty and Paul Harshman and sister-in-law, Bridget Yarbrough.
Survivors include her husband, Jay Steen; children, David Steen (Miranda), Jason Steen (Megan) and Brittney Steen Hudson (Mitch); six grandchildren, Mayson Ray, Tenson Steen, Judson Steen, Kasen Steen, Katelyn Hudson and Jasper Hudson; brothers and sisters, Bobby Yarbrough (Linda), Shenia Alexander, Freddie Yarbrough (Juanita), Joan Martino (Gerald), John Yarbrough and James Yarbrough (Amy) and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was born July 5, 1961 in Reform, Alabama. She was a homemaker and a well-known resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Robbins, Clint Walker, Brian Sparks, Will Nance, Jody McGee and Ian Robbins.
Honorary Pallbearers are 9 U West Ala. STIX Baseball Team, Pickens County High School Class of 1979 and Jamie Harris.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Garden Baptist Church, c/o Mary Lee, 181 White Oak Lane, Carrollton, AL 35447 or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
