Marilyn Sue Warrens, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on July 12th, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with dementia. Marilyn was born January 26th, 1939, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Russell and Olga Elliott.
Marilyn was a woman of many talents. She was an excellent seamstress, house cleaner, flower arranger, cook, and cake decorator and will be fondly remembered for all the love she put into these talents.
She is survived by her children: Deborah L. (Larry) Speakman, Brenda L. (Marc) Ray, David D. (Cheryl) Warrens, and Sandra S. Warrens; five grandchildren: JR and Timmy Speakman, Tiffany (Monroe) Raber, and Clayton and Brandon Ray; five great-grandchildren: Dakota, Eli, Briar, Judd, and Porter; and her sister, Geraldine Johnson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert Elliott, Ralph Elliott, and Danny Elliott; and sisters, NormaJean Kirk and Pauline Warrens.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, from 2-4PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a service after at 4PM with Rev. Butch Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Warrens Family Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to lewisgillum.com.
