Marilyn J. Wilcox, 85, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Heritage Green. She was born in Jamestown on November 16, 1939, to the late Bert and Dora Rose.

Following graduation from Jamestown High School, Marilyn worked for 30 years as an office secretary at Metropolitan Insurance Company. She then spent many years in a similar role with the Jamestown Fire Department.

Marilyn was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church. Together with her husband, Ron, Marilyn loved going to baseball games and taking trips to North Carolina to see family.

A former member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Marilyn remained an active member of the Allen Park Women's Club.

Marilyn will be dearly missed by her husband, Ronald J. Wilcox, whom she married May 29, 1969; her son, Randy (Julie) Wilcox of North Carolina; her grandson, Jarod Wilcox; her two brothers, Richard Rose of Buffalo and Roger Rose of Detroit; her sister, Marge of California; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11-1pm Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30pm at Sunset Hill Cemetery where Rev. Mark Swanson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, 120 Chandler Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
