Robert W. Schilling, 94, of Brookdale, formerly of Arden Parkway, died Tuesday August 26, 2025, in UPMC Chautauqua.

A native of Springfield, IL, he was born January 13, 1931, the only child of Alois and Leona Tomko Schilling.

Following graduation from high school, he served in the US Navy from 1951-55 during the Korean War.

Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities at the water treatment plant. In earlier years he owned and operated Bob's Gunstock. If he worked on your gun you know it was done correctly.

Bob was a member of the Busti and Celoron Trap Clubs and National Rifle Association. He was a communicant of Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres and New York Mets. His love of the outdoors took him fishing and hunting caribou in Canda and his adventurous spirit had him race his Triumph motorcycle at Halfway Speedway in Illinois. Bob had a deep affection for his yellow lab Babe.

Surviving is his daughter Pamela (Homer) Lindell of Warren, PA; six grandchildren Shannon Anzalone, David Smith, Robin (Garrett Blum) Lindell, Corey (Beth) Lindell, Ryan (Jana) Lindell and Beth Eastman and seven great grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ann Lindstrom Schilling, whom he married November 7, 1953, and who died June 7, 2015, and a daughter Theresa Schilling September 20, 2021.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
