Marilyn June Zawada, 81, passed away on May 25, 2024, at the Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility in Manistique, MI. She was born June 14,1942, to parents Lillian and Tony Zawada.
Marilyn loved everyone and loved animals. Anyone that met Marilyn loved how kind and happy she was. Marilyn grew up going to the Methodist Church in Germfask, MI and loved God. Marilyn will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sisters, Kay (Robert) Patterson, Toni (Bob) Sherbrook, Birdie (Dennis) Folsom; aunt, Linda Holmes, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Tony Zawada and grandma, Berdella Decker.
The family would like to thank Sheila Long, our niece, for taking her in her home, taking care of her and loving her for so many years. Her last couple of years, Marilyn lived at the Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility in Manistique where she was loved and well cared for by so many wonderful caregivers.
Per the family, no services will be held. Marilyn will be laid to rest at the Germfask Cemetery next to her mom and dad, to be announced at a later date.
Fausett Family Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
