Richard DuFour, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on September 26, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on June 9, 1933, in Manistique, Michigan, Richard began a life marked by devotion, service, and unwavering faith. In 1956, he married the love of his life, Audrey, in New Orleans, beginning a partnership that would span decades. Richard proudly served his country in the National Guard, the U.S. Army, and as a member of the Special Forces. He later became a hard hat deep sea diver for the Navy and worked as a lead quality control inspector at nuclear plants across the United States.

After retiring, Richard settled in Mississippi, where he enjoyed a quiet life filled with family, faith, and fellowship. His church community was a source of joy, and he cherished every moment spent in worship and study.

Richard's love for his family was deep and enduring. He was a man of kindness, generosity, and humility-always putting others before himself. His faith in Christ was the cornerstone of his life, and he shared it freely with those around him. Whether through Bible study or heartfelt conversation, Richard was always ready to help others grow in their understanding of God's promises.

He is survived by his sons, Rick DuFour (Carol) and Dane DuFour (Kristine); grandchildren Dale Martin, Julie Martin (Skip), Melissa Kelly (Robert), Tyler DuFour, and Joshua DuFour; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters Wilma Robare (Lyle, Deceased) and Linda Hamill (Lavern, Deceased), brother Dale DuFour (Sally), and sister-in-law Ginger Dufour (Tom, Deceased). He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey, stepdaughter Debbie, brothers Tom DuFour and Gerry DuFour (Marilyn), and sister Patricia Pedersen (Mike).

Though words can never fully capture the essence of a life so well lived, we honor Richard's legacy of love, service, and faith. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."
- Matthew 25:21
