Marina Draginsky, surrounded by loved ones, entered eternal life on February 3rd. Marina was born on October 31, 1942 to Margaret and Dima Draginsky in New York City. She attended School of the Holy Child Academy from Elementary School and then Graduated from George Washington High School in Washington Heights. Marina took courses at CUNY Hunter College, worked at Caltex, and then carved out a 30+ year successful career at Union Carbide in New York and Connecticut. She enjoyed summers in Fire Island, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket with her close friends as they danced the night away to Diana Ross and the Supremes and The Fifth Dimension and later, enjoyed many happy years with her companion, Nathan. From childhood and throughout her entire life, Marina loved animals. She cherished the mutual affection of her many cats and dogs and was an avid supporter of animal rights and safety. She will be remembered for her quick wit, while still being very gentle and soft spoken, but mostly for her commitment to improving and sometimes even saving the lives of her many four-legged furry friends. May her memory be eternal!
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 10 am- 12 pm at Thomas M Gallagher Funeral Home 104 Myrtle Ave Stamford, CT (203)-359-9999. A short prayer service will be held at 12 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan, CT.
