A Life Full of Love and Generosity
Whether you knew her as Marina, Louise, Mrs. Lockerman, Mom, Momma, Gaga, or the card lady of Plum Boro, Marina touched the lives of many in various roles. Professionally, she was a classmate at Montefiore and LaRoche Colleges of Nursing, a surgical nurse in Bedford, PA, an art teacher at St. John's The Baptist School, and a unit head nurse and admissions nurse at the Veterans Hospital at Highlands Park. Perhaps you simply knew her as a sister, wife, mom, grandma, or neighbor. No matter how you knew her, Marina's presence was a blessing.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, her husband, three grandchildren, two sisters, a baby cousin, a dear cousin, nieces and nephews and their children, and many more. Marina had a unique way of connecting with people; she would send a card to cheer you up, share in your triumph, or offer consolation. Her cookies were legendary, baked with love for the same reasons.
As an amazing grandmother, Marina was full of good stories, great baking, and boundless love. The gifts and lessons she imparted to her daughters over the years will stay with them forever. Though they admit to being terrible at writing cards, they excel in supporting others and raising incredible children, a testament to Marina's lasting influence.
Marina's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for her family and community. She leaves behind a world that is better because she was in it, and her memory will forever be cherished.
