Mario Eugene Marquez of White Lake, died loving his family and not wanting to leave us on October 17, 2025 Mario, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on October 17, 2025, at 5:00 am at the age of 62. Born in Inglewood, California, he lived a life defined by strength, dedication, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
A gifted athlete, Mario distinguished himself as a fierce Bowling competitor with 26 scores of 300 and countless recognitions of his endeavors. His Golf swing was a crack heard for miles. You always knew he was in the bowling alley by the unmistakable sound of his ball crashing halfway down the lane before striking the pins. In his youth and throughout all his schooling, Mario was always perfecting his basketball techniques in defense and offense, a pitcher with a wicked corkscrew pitch, on multiple bowling teams, and kept a high GPA. Mario excelled in the Golf Industry as the General Manager for American Golf and followed as a General Manager in multiple Bowling Centers in Southern California. He raised his children to embrace the values of excellence, integrity, and leadership. These principles guided him throughout his life.
Mario was a devoted father to four children and two bonus children and a dedicated grandfather to 15 grandchildren, ranging from 18 years old to 1 year old. Following his multiple management careers in the Golf and Bowling Industries, he pursued his passion for problem-solving, mentoring, and innovation as a Customer Service Representative for Carl's Golfland, applying the same dedication and character that defined every chapter of his life.
Outside of his professional and family life, Mario was an avid bowler, golfer, music lover, and overall sports fan. Above all, he had a passion for smoking meat. His unending curiosity for smoking led him to countless YouTube channels and gadgets to perfect his art. He loved to share his creations with a specialty of Smoked Pulled Pork and homemade Bourbon BBQ sauce. His motto " Pellet Grills are for amateurs." (I apologize to all Pellet Grill people. he was quite passionate about the technique of smoking meat.)
Mario will be remembered for his dedication to family and friends, his generosity, and his brilliant humor. His love and service live on through his children, family, and all who were fortunate to know him. He is survived by his beloved wife Carmen, three children, Nina Kinzie (Wesley), James, Isabelle Eubanks (Travis), and bonus children Gabriella Tiaga (Vincent) and Anthony Burrola (Heather), 15 grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends who will forever hold his memory close. He was preceded in death by his son, David.
