Obituary of Mario Angelo Scolaro
Mario Angelo Scolaro passed away on Saturday September 3, 2022 from complications of congestive heart failure and diabetes. He was 71 years old. Mario was born on April 21, 1951 in San Peiro Patti, Italy to Lucia (Sparta) & Ignazio Scolaro. His family immigrated to America in 1954 and made their home in Haverstraw, NY. He was a business owner and truck driver for much of his life. He was a Vietnam Veteran and loved riding his Harley.
Mario is survived by his children Maria Campbell (Brian), Nicholas Scolaro (Jennifer), Gina Welch (Thomas) & Kaitlyn Torres (Miguel). He is also survived by his grandchildren Emily, Hailey, Ellie, Brian, Kyle, Raigen, Aubrey, McKinLee, Brody, Jacob & Delilah and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his brother Joseph Scolaro and grandchildren Avenlee, Nixon and Owen.
Mario's wake will be held at T.J. Mcgowan Sons Funeral Home 133 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY 10927 Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2-6pm. His funeral will take place on a date and time yet to be determined at Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY.
