Marion Irvin Barrentine, age 70, of Hamilton, MS, passed away May 4, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Trey Reece officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Barrentine was born May 22, 1954, in Aberdeen, MS, to Agatha Ballard Barrentine of Winterville, NC, and the late George Barrentine. He was a graduate of Caledonia High School and served as a preacher for many years. Mr. Barrentine also worked for Johnston Tombigbee and Beloit Manhattan as a security guard for many years, and loved Mississippi State.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 48 years, Delois Rye Barrentine, sons, Christopher Hackworth and his wife Christina of Palmetto, AL, Timothy Barrentine and his wife Wendy of Kennedy, AL, and Joshua Martin of Hamilton, MS, daughters, Angela Hollis and her husband Kendall of Reform, AL, Leigh-Ann Weyrauch and her husband Brady of Iowa Falls, IA, Tabbatha Hollis and her husband Kevin of Reform, AL, and Leslie Martin of Ethelsville, AL, sisters, Teresa Barrentine of Cleveland, MS, and Michelle Windle and her husband Mike of Winterset, NC, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
