Marion Kessler

SOUTHBURY - Marion Kessler, 87, of Southbury, departed this life, peacefully, on September 26, 2024. She was the beloved wife of John Kessler.
Marion was born in Valhalla, NY on May 26, 1937 to the late Frank and Josephina (Esposito) Fossella.
Marion graduated from Western CT State University and pursued a career in accounting. She worked for a number of companies, retiring from Pepperidge Farm as an accounting manager. She volunteered for a number of charities and was very active in tax preparation programs for senior citizens for over 25 years.
Marion had a passion for gardening and could always be found tending her beautiful gardens. Marion enjoyed cooking and baking and was an avid knitter.
In addition to her husband, Marion is survived by her children; Al (Sue) Yager, New Fairfield, Keith Yager of Southbury, and Alison Yager of Prospect. In addition she is survived by her stepchildren Carol Anne Race, John (Luz) Kessler, Patrick Kessler and Robert Kessler. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also, she is survived by her loving sister Jaye Vaughn and several nieces and nephews.
The family wish to thank the nurses, aides, social worker, chaplain and all others at Regional Hospice and The Villa at The Watermark who offered kindness, words of comfort, support and wonderful care for Marion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 1st at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Campus of the Midd-South Catholic Community, 910 Main St. S., Southbury. The family will receive friends and visitors in the church's Daily Chapel prior to the Mass from 9:00 - 10:45 AM. Entombment will be private. The Carpino Funeral Home of Southbury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
