Marion Bernard Pears, a native and resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born to Mr. Charlie E. Pears Sr. & Mrs. Luvenia Gussie Pears of Mobile, AL on August 24, 1946. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Marion was a faithful member of Cedar Park Missionary Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. Marion attended Williamson High School. He graduated from high school and joined the United States Army at the age of 18 in 1964. He served 4 years before coming back home to Mobile. Marion worked for many years in the moving and storage business to include Bekins Moving and Storage and John Fayard Moving and Warehousing for 35 years. Marion was an avid fisherman and hunter. At the end of his journey, Marion was surrounded by his devoted caregiver, his sister Margaret Seltzer, his weekly caregiver Ms. Tammara Rivers, his special friend Ms. Patricia Robinson and his best friend Mr. Lamar Beard.

Marion is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Pears, grandson Tristian Pears, son Corey Pears, Mother Luvenia Gussie Pears, Father Charlie E. Pears Sr., Sister-in-law Barbara Bradley, brother Sherman Bradley and brother-in-law Donald Johnson.

Marion leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Bridget Pears Wilson of Mobile, AL. Seven grandchildren Cory Jr., and London Dumas of Mobile, AL. Marcelus, Trislyn, and Kaleb Pears, all of Detroit, MI. Kelsey Pears and Brittany Wilson of Mobile, AL, his son Bishop C.M. Mitchell (Pastor Natasha) of Lufkin, TX. His brothers Charlie "JR" Pears of Mobile, AL, George Pears of Indianapolis, IN, John "Johnny" Pears of Mobile, AL, James "Jimmy" Bradley of Mobile, AL, Michael (Valerie) Bradley of Mobile, AL, Samuel (Angie) Bradley of Mobile, AL, and Thomas "Rusty" (Dee) Bradley of Mobile, AL. Three sisters Margaret Seltzer of Mobile, AL, Halleen Johnson of Mobile, AL, and Alfreda Pears of Mobile, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Marion also leaves to cherish his memory his special friend Patricia Robinson and his only living Uncle Mr. Jerry "Snookie" Booker of Mobile, AL.
