Marion Gomoljak Obituary

Marion Robinette Gomoljak, recently wanted to be known as Robin Reynolds in honor of her beloved stepfather Clowes Reynolds, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024. Born on September 29, 1946, in Annapolis, Maryland, Robin lived a life filled with love, laughter, and service. Robin grew up in South River Park, enjoying swimming and beach days with friends, shaping the warm and adventurous spirit that defined her. A graduate of Annapolis High School's Class of 1964, she married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Kemp Gomoljak, sharing nearly 60 years of happiness together. Professionally, Robin dedicated over 35 years to the Anne Arundel County Circuit Courthouse, retiring as a respected supervisor. Her compassionate nature extended to community service, where she volunteered tirelessly for the Lions Club, Moose Lodge, and American Legion Post 7. She was honored with the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for her humanitarian contributions. A devoted animal lover, Robin cared for numerous pets over her lifetime, including dogs, cats, and even a snake. Her home was a sanctuary for animals and a gathering place filled with joy, laughter, and her signature parties. Robin's gift for connection and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She is survived by her sister, Diane Pagels; sister-in-law, Dianne Dodson; brother-in-law, Robert Dodson; niece Sandra Dodson; son Jeremy Travis Gomoljak and his wife Christina; and grandchildren Lily and James Gomoljak. She will also be deeply missed by her many friends and the community who loved her. A celebration of Robin's life will be held in the spring, reflecting her love for sunshine and warmth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, St. Mary's Catholic Church or Hospice of the Chesapeake.

My deepest condolences. I knew Robin from jazzercise. She always had a smile and was fun to be with. She entertained us with her love of flamingos and Aruba. May she rest in peace with Joe.

So sorry for your loss Travis. Your mom and I were good friends some time ago I´m not sure you remember me when you were a kid I sometimes would take to your grandmothers. Linda

My deepest heartfelt condolences to the entire Gomoljak family. "Robin" was most definitely one of the brightest rays of sunshine at the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court. She always had a smile and was respectful of all. While I retired 15 years ago, working with Robin has always been one of my favorite memories of my working there. There is definitely a hole here on Earth but a bright new shining star in Heaven. Rest in peace, Robin.
