Marion A. Rodek

Marion Nielson Rodek passed away peacefully at the age of 96. She was raised in Bridgeport, CT where she met, fell in love with, and married Joseph Rodek. Together, they and family moved across the country, where she developed a love for the mountains of Idaho, the Amish country of Pennsylvania, and the beaches of Connecticut and Delaware. She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Rodek and sons, Gary and John Rodek and grandson, Joseph Rodek. She is survived by her children Joseph R. Rodek and wife Amalie, James N. Rodek and wife Lori, and Corinne Rodek Eisenstein and husband Andrew, daughter-in-law Jeanne Rodek, brother Thomas Nielson of Bridgeport, CT, her 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The family always knew who to turn to when they needed something. Just ask Marion to say a novena for your cause; God could never refuse her. At the age of 94 she taught us all the meaning of optimism, goal-setting and never giving up hope by putting a deposit on a new home that was 2 years from completion. She managed to move in, but died shortly thereafter. We will all miss her and her love.
