She was gifted with the skill of knitting, making many sweaters, blankets and such for all the family members and gifts for friends. She was a skilled seamstress and made most of her own clothes. Being short, she could make quality clothes that fit her right. She was a skilled tailor and even took classes in upholstery and still has the chair she made. She loved antiquing, old houses, auctions and restoring any piece of furniture to make it look almost new.
As the oldest member of the First Presbyterian Church in Beacon, 90 years, she is an Elder, was treasurer, Sunday School Teacher and was part of the Alpha Group, a women's group that supported the church by doing various fundraisers.
She loved going to her place on Cape Cod, MA, where she spent every August with her family. She loved Big Band Dancing and could be found on any dance floor with her only partner Al.
