Marion Walsh was born on February 25, 1947 to Sam and Hannah Maggi in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY, the second of six children. The family moved to West Babylon a few years later where she was raised and schooled. In 1967 she got a job at Western Electric Co. in Springfield Gardens, which is where she met her future husband Tony when he returned to work there in May of 1968 after his military service. They started dating and were married on September 4, 1971. They lived in Rockville Centre. In 1973 they bought a house in Rockville Centre where they still live. In 1978, they adopted a daughter, Michelle. Some time after Michelle started school, Marion went to work at the Rockville Centre Schools, from which she eventually retired. Enjoying travel, Marion and Tony have driven through 48 states together.
