Mark began his entrepreneurial journey in Detroit, Michigan, during the 1990’s. Sometime later, he moved to Granite Falls, Minnesota, where he continued his business ventures successfully until his health issues forced him to retire.
Marious celebrated life in his own unique way, yet he was raised as part of the Jehovah’s Witness family and organization. On November 3, 2025, at 4:09 pm, Marious quietly departed this life at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie Griffin Jr. and Bobbie J. Britton Griffin; three brothers: Terrance Griffin, Willie Griffin and Timothy Griffin; two sisters: Barbara Gardner and Valeria Griffin. He leaves to cherish his memory three children: daughter Tequila Harris and two sons: Marious Johnson and De’Marious Lewis; the mother of his children Lashell Lewis. He also leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren: Semaj, Brycen, Savannah, Bria, Samari, Skylar, De’Marious Jr. and Demaria. He is also survived by three sisters: Matty Mitchell, Helen Holden and Gloria Griffin; two brothers: Ronnie Griffin and Rodriquez Griffin; and special niece and nephews: Deonna Barberr, Donyale Griffin and Deante Griffin. He will be dearly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a special friend LaNelle Binley.
Marious’s life was one of strength, independence and perseverance – a reflection of his faith, his family and his love for the living life on his own terms.
