Joyce Hinze, 84, of Granite Falls, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 21, 2025, at River Valley Health in Redwood Falls. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th at 1:00 pm at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Joyce Lavern Hinze was born in Jacksonville, Missouri on September 26, 1941, to Orville Lee and Hertha Lorine Taylor. She grew up in Moberly, Missouri and finished high school there. Joyce was united in marriage to William Graack. Three children were born to this union: Kenyon, Wendy & Nicole. She went on to travel some and learned many skills which she put to good use supporting her family. She was united in marriage to James Hinze on November 27, 1992, in Apple Valley.
Through the years she met and acquired two daughters, Deb Ancheta-Storius and Charlene Gluth. Joyce worked in data entry and also drove for MTC out of the Shingle Creek garage in Brooklyn Center until her retirement which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Joyce is survived by her children: Ken Graack, Wendy Graack and Nicole Carver; grandchildren Rachel, Samantha, Steven, Jacob & Alyson; honorary daughters: Deb Ancheta-Storius and Charlene Gluth; honorary grandchildren: Kristin, Kayla, & Kyle; siblings: Roger (Bonnie) Taylor, Doyle (Anet) Taylor and Dennis Taylor; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband William Graack, husband James Hinze, brother Boyd Taylor, sister-in-law Rhonda Taylor and nephew Andrew Taylor.
