Marita J. Gabler, 80, of Topeka, passed away on August 18, 2025 at 9:58 PM.
She was born on January 13, 1945 to Traugot and Alma Juergensen in Ellsworth, Kansas. Marita worked as a Teacher for Topeka High and Topeka West where she taught typing and business classes.
On March 10, 1984, she married Robert "Bob" Lee Gabler. Marita and Bob lived in Topeka, Kansas. A favorite pastime included taking trips won by Bob through Farm Bureau.
She was a member of Professional Secretaries International, Wood Valley Racquet Club, Berkshire Golf and Fitness, and Topeka Music Club.
Marita is survived by her loving husband; Robert, son; Jonathan R.Gabler and wife; Jessica, grandsons; Sammy (6) and Tommy (2), step-daughters; Kimberly Gabler, Sadie Gabler, step-son; Andrew Gabler.
She was preceded in death by her step-daughter; Dana Leann Meinhardt, father; Traugot L. Juergensen, mother; Alma Juergensen, brothers; Jim Juergenson, John Juergensen.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM with funeral services starting at 11:00 AM. Both will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1716 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604, with Pastor Jeff Lane, officiating.
Graveside Service will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025 1:00 pm at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Memorials are suggested to the (select a charity of your choice here).
