Mrs. Marjorie “Peg” Eleanor Agren, 97 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at her home surrounded by her children on the morning of December 7, 2025. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 9, 1928 to the late Henry and Evelyn (Elliot) Walker. Marjorie resided in Lewiston for the past 70+ years. She was a member of the Lewiston Community Church, formerly known as The Congregational United Church of Christ. She was also a dedicated member of the Lewiston Historical Society. Marjorie loved to care for people. A drink and a snack were always offered upon entering her home. She loved card games and was especially good at Euchre. She also enjoyed gardening. Most importantly, Marjorie loved to spend time with her family. She will be deeply missed.
Marjorie is remembered by her sons, Thomas Agren, Doug (Sharon) Agren, Dave (Pamela) Agren; daughter-in-law, Jane Agren; grandchildren, Amy (Nathan) Rivest, Kristy (Scott) Novak, Brian (Anne) Agren, Angela (Mike) Maves, Jeff (Kelly) Agren, Denise Agren, Shawn (Ashlee) Agren, Kristen (Daniel) King, Janelle (Brandon) Melchert, Katelyn (Justin) Liptak; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Evelyn Walker; husband, Eugene “Bill” Agren, sister, Lynn Mowery; daughters, Pamela Agren and Joni Willobee; and son, Jim Agren.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of her life at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marjorie to Hospice of Michigan.
