Marjorie A. Freed Chartier
Marjorie (called Marge or Margie by many) sadly passed away on April 16th 2022 at the age of 75 years. in Mequon, Wisconsin after battling cancer nearly 2 years. Margie was born November 21st 1946 in Norway, Michigan and was raised in Amberg, Wisconsin, she lived most of her life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marjorie was married twice. She has always worked in food / hospitality services, at a younger age she worked in establishments owned by the family and worked with her mother Estelle for many years at a few restaurants. She retired about 7 years ago at the age of 68.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Hubbard and Estelle Freed, her brother Joseph Freed, Sisters Sally Dondino, Freela Collopy, and grandson Justin Julson. She is also preceded in death by her beloved dog Cheyenne a big lovable German Shepherd who brought a lot of love and joy to her life and her Cat whom she named Kitty.
She is survived by her 3 children Julie Julson, James (Candi) Julson and Karen Chartier, her 8 grandchildren Christopher Julson, Danielle and Michelle Hanney, Katie, Kelly and Cally Julson, Michael Kriewaldt and Ashley Scherbarth, her 12 great grandchildren Nicholas, Matthew, Allie, Ava, Alani, Aubrey, Jeremiah, Adriel, Fernando, Torrence, Tyson and Haiden. She is also survived by her brother Hubbard aka Bud Freed, sisters Mary(Donald) Kabitzke and Judith Freed.
Marjorie loved Cardinals and Elephants, she loved to sit and watch birds from her living room she placed a bird feeder right outside the window, just so she could watch them. She liked to Garden and plant flowers. She liked her shows, such as the Price is Right, Judge Judy, old black and white shows like Bonanza and Gunsmoke. She loved country music, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. She went to eat at her favorite restaurant The Butler Inn every week. She lived a simple, good, clean life. She was a great provider, role model, fierce woman who instilled morals and ethics in her children; strongly was independent and sometimes a little stubborn (Lot of Love). She had a big heart and dedicated many of her "Empty Nest" years to raising her grandchildren Christopher and Justin Julson when their mother was unable. Whenever someone needed help, she would always be there for her family and opened her home many times over the years (of course her house, her rules, she will kick you out, LOL.)
She will be missed very much by many, she will live through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren through memories and stories of her and her life for many years.
Please join us to celebrate her life on Sunday April 24, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME,1875 N Calhoun Rd., Brookfield from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a small luncheon and get together at her house after wards.
She will be laid to rest next to her Grandson Justin at Wisconsin Memorial park located at 13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005 on Monday April 25th 2022 at 11:00 AM, procession will begin at 10:45 AM in the RED parking lot.
