Marjorie Ellen (Easlick) Couts, of Fremont, passed away on August 19, 2025 at the age of 82. She was born at her childhood home in Farwell, Michigan on May 18, 1943 to William Henry and Lucy May (Hall) Easlick.

After high school, Marjorie attended The Sands in Independence, Missouri, now known as Graceland University School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. She worked as an RN for 45 years, where she impacted countless people with the quality of her care.

Marjorie loved spending time with her family and friends whenever she had the chance. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend! She loved animals and was kind of a dog and cat whisperer. Her cats and dogs loved her so much, as did other peoples. Those who passed before her were surely waiting for her along with God and her family and friends at the Golden Gates excited to welcome her in. She also loved to read which is where you could find her in her spare time, with her nose in a book or sometimes watching her favorite TV shows. With both books and TV shows, she loved some good murder mysteries. She liked country music, especially Alan Jackson, gospel music, and of course, Elvis, along with the oldies from the 50's. She liked to quilt, do ceramics, paint and even dabbled in a little scrapbooking. She loved the beauty of nature and enjoyed walking her dog, working in the yard or a garden and the site of butterflies and humming birds. She was also an amazing cook and the best caregiver anyone could ever ask for! Her faith was very important to her and loved her church family very much. She loved to go to church every Sunday to enjoy the sermon, the music and fellowship. She believed in angels and now has her own wings and is our angel above watching over us all.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Timothy John Couts, a Navy Veteran. Marjorie and Timothy spent 62 precious years together after their marriage on September 8, 1963. Ultimately, Marjorie and Timothy knew each other for a total of 77 years.

Marjorie is also survived by her two daughters: Pamela Marie Clark of Hudsonville and Cheryl Lynn Doran (Everett Shayn) of Fremont; grandchildren: Marie Nicole Hemphill (Michael Stephen) of Grand Rapids, Daniel Steven Beavers (Alexandria Lynn) of Hudsonville, Cameryn Andrew Doran of Fremont, and Jordyn Mae Doran of Fremont; one great-granddaughter, Sutton Lynn, on the way; brother: Leonard William Easick (Bunny Sue), who is an 82nd Airborne Army Veteran, of Harrison, Esther Marie Daily of Hersey, and Connie Mae Kelly (James Michael, Air Force Veteran), of Palm Bay, Florida; sister-in-law: Katheryn Marie Stewart (James H.) of Conway, Arkansas; brother-in-law: James Oliver Couts (Air Force Veteran) of Tampa, Florida; aunt: Evelyn Henry of Michigan; 23 nieces and nephews, and many cousins who love and miss Marjorie.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, one brother, three brothers-in-law, and two nephews: Elsie Eileen Murgittroyd (James Obe Jr., Army National Guard Veteran), Shirley Grace Roslund (Richard Neil Sr., Army National Guard Veteran), Albert Duane Easlick (Luella Marie), Beverly Kay Linn, Gerald Martin Daily, Leonard William (Bill) Easlick (Navy Veteran), and Dennis Duane Easlick; her father- and mother-in-law, Raoul Chalmers Couts and Lenore Augustine (Georgeff) Couts; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who she has now joined. We can only imagine the big party they are having to welcome her!
