Marjorie Creasey Obituary Marjorie Jane Creasey, 82, of Wellsville and formerly of Chester, passed away at the Valley Hospice Mary Jane Brooks Care Center North in Steubenville on Thursday, May 1, 2005, following a lingering illness.
She was born in Chester on January 17, 1943. Jane was the daughter of the late Jess and Elizabeth Sayre Gill.
Jane's work experiences were vast and diverse. She retired from the American Flag Storage Company in North Carolina. Earlier, she was the co-owner of the Panhandle Press Newspaper in Chester and the owner and operator of Aunt Jane's Restaurant, also in Chester. Jane was a Christian and a graduate of Chester High School. She spent many enjoyable hours knitting and crocheting.
The last of ten children, all nine of her brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.
Jane shared twenty happy years with her husband, John, who survives at home. She was blessed with two daughters, Libby (Chris Grimes) Nally and Lorie (Del) Buamgarner, and her stepchildren, John Creasey Jr., William Creasey, and Felica Creasey. Jane's grandchildren include Christopher Pratt, Frank Nally, Megan Clark, Erin Straight, and Jake Straight. Several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive as well.
Family and friends will celebrate a wonderful life lived at the Arner Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Pastor Dirk Hall will conduct a celebration service at 4:00 p.m.
