Marjorie J. Davis

DOVER, PA – Marjorie "Margie" Jean Davis, age 85, died Saturday evening, December 6, 2025 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Robert J. Davis. The couple celebrated 62 years of marriage on October 26, 2025.

Born December 6, 1940 in Garden City, NY, Marjorie was the first of two children of Walter and Jeannette Angus.

She raised her family in Farmingville, NY. Margie had over 25 years of service as an administrative secretary for Sachem School District in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY and retired to Milford, DE. She lived her last two and a half years at Providence Place, an assisted living facility in Dover, PA.

Marjorie was a devout Catholic and had been a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Milford, DE. She loved to play games, puzzle books and enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em and slots in Atlantic City. She treated everyone like family and was extremely generous with her time and attention to others, always looking to find a way to say "yes" when others were in need of assistance.

Margie is survived by her husband, Robert; her sons, Christopher and his wife, Andrea of East Berlin, PA and Robert of Amherst, MA; her sister, Therese Greene of Chicago, IL; and four grandchildren.

Following cremation, there will be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.

I´m so sorry for the passing of a wonderful lady. Marge and I worked together for 7 years as Hiawatha secretaries and always managed to have our time together while crazy at times but always enjoying what we did. Whether we were laughing or crying together we will never forget not finding the lost jelly beans.. We looked everywhere.. one of my fondest memories. We laughed for days. I will miss you my friend. Rest in peace. Fondly. Karen Meservy.
