Marjorie Ann Eaglen, of Harborcreek, was born to the late Nicolai Jesse and Mildred (Evans) Brotherson in Erie, Pennsylvania on October 17, 1927. On Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, at the age of 97, Marjorie went to be with the Lord leaving behind a legacy of love and family traditions. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Marjorie spent 55 years lovingly building a family with her husband Boyd E. Eaglen. She showed her love through her homemaking skills. She cooked delicious Sunday dinners and brought the family together with large holiday gatherings. She sewed dresses for her granddaughters and knitted baby blankets and Christmas stockings as new members of the family were added. Marjorie also knitted hats and baby blankets for Labors of Love, an organization that provides hats and blankets for premature babies and volunteered her time at Brevillier Village and Faith Lutheran Church. She was also an avid card player with family and friends and loved a bit of friendly rivalry around the table. Marjorie spent many years traveling to Florida during the winter months to escape the cold and enjoy time with friends, but she eventually made it her year-round home, where she welcomed visits from family and friends until returning to Erie for the last few years. Marjorie is survived by her children: Sandra Taccone (Russell), David Eaglen (Tracie), and Barbara Noonan (Richard); grandchildren: Kristen, Nicholas (Erica), Laura (Vincent), Lisa (Cain), Andrew (Alyson), Matthew (Allison), Stephen (Katy), Ericka (Emmanuel), Erin (Todd), Richard (Kayla) and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Kayli, Ashley, Kendra, Logan, Kara, Emilia, Josiah, Bennett, Maya, Isaac, Frederick, Delaney, Madelyn, Charlotte, Lakelyn, Ainsley, Kambrey, Elyssah, Olivia, Isabelle, Emma, Josephine, Henry, Edward, Brett, Boyd, and Lyla-Jane; brother-in-law, Jack Eaglen; and sister-in-law, Leanne Eaglen. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd E. Eaglen; and siblings: Jean Gwin, Blanche Strike, and Robert Brotherson. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd.) on Thursday, August 21st, from 5 to 7 PM and are further invited to attend a funeral service on Friday at 11AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 5414 East Lake Road. Marjorie will then be laid to rest at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Barnabas Court South, the Ball Pavillion and the Interim Hospice team for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran General Fund. Condolences may be offered at www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
