Marjorie "Sally" Berry Howie

October 7, 1949 – November 29, 2025

Marjorie Berry Howie, affectionately known as Sally, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late Raymond and Martha Berry, Sally lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family, friends, and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, from which she retired after a dedicated career.

In 1977, she married the late William "Bill" Howie, and together they shared a life full of cherished memories. Sally had a zest for life, enjoying traveling with her dear friends Lesa, Doug, Debbie, and Dave, and celebrating Christmas year-round with her passion for all things Santa. She was known for her warm heart and outgoing nature, truly someone who never met a stranger.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Kellie Bowers (Jay); stepdaughters, Lisa Barcroft (Walter) and Lynn Howie Jordan; stepson, Randy Howie (Linda); and her brothers, Jim Berry (Amanda), Joe Berry, and Ray Berry (Judie). She was a beloved grandmother to Gabe McGaha (Elisabeth), Graeson McGaha (Amber), Abigael McGaha Morgese (Adam), Clint Jordan, Clay Jordan (Devon), Marissa Jordan, and Bryce Howie (Mandy).

She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews: Kim Burkett Drummond (Mark), Chris Burkett (Frank), Meredith Berry Post (Russell), Chip Berry (Molly), Erica Berry Pifer (Graham), Jennifer Berry Watson (Charles), and Allison Berry George (Brad).

Sally will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, coworkers, and all who were touched by her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in her memory.
