Marjorie Kidd Obituary
Memorial Service: 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, in Greenwood Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. Entombment: 11 a.m. at Greenwood Mausoleum.
Born Feb. 3, 1924, in Lufkin, to Cora and the Rev. Kent Arles Woods. Marjorie grew up in Nacogdoches. She completed three years of college in Texas and married Lewis H. Kidd of Waxahachie in 1947.
Marjorie and Lewis lived several years in Syracuse, New York, where Lewis worked for General Electric. The couple then moved to Fort Worth where Lewis worked for General Electric and then General Dynamics. Together they had two children: Tim was born in 1951 and Pat in 1956. Marjorie was a person of faith, an encourager of people, and a lover of music. She sang in church choirs at First Baptist Church in Syracuse and Connell Baptist Church in Fort Worth; and provided excellent accompanient on the piano. She and Lewis were quite active at Connell for more than 60 years, and in recent years they also attended worship at Agape Baptist Church until it closed on Easter of 2023.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Lewis; son, Tim and wife, Susan; granddaughter, Sarah; and great-grandson, Asher.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Connell Baptist Church, 4736 Bryce Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.

I had the pleasure of working where Mrs.Kidd lived. Every morning I would see her beautiful face; with her lipstick and jewelry to match her outfit each day. She was beautiful inside and outside. She always told me how much she appreciated all I did and some days we would pray together. Her smile would light up a room. I love you
