"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
Marjorie Ann Odle (Seals), a faithful servant of the Lord, peacefully went home to be with her Savior on February 28, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on October 8, 1937, to Monnie Marie Seals Fraley and Floyd Seals, Marjorie lived a life of unwavering faith, deep devotion, and boundless love - a love that created a world of abundance for those blessed to know her.
Together with her beloved husband, Robert Odle, to whom she married June 6, 1958, Marjorie answered God's calling to the mission field, dedicating their lives to spreading the Gospel and sharing the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Their journey took them across the world, including the remote lands of Papua New Guinea, where they ministered to souls in need, carrying the light of Christ to those who had never heard His name. They lived out Matthew 28:19, fulfilling the Great Commission: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
But Marjorie's greatest ministry wasn't just in the places she traveled - it was in how she loved. She had a way of speaking without words, a quiet but powerful presence that made those around her feel safe, seen, and deeply loved. In the gentle press of her hand, in the warmth of her smile, in the knowing look in her eyes - she had a way of understanding you before you even spoke. Her love was in the smallest moments, in the nudge that she said she was there, in the laughter that came easily in her presence, in the unspoken ways she reminded you that you were never alone.
She carried the wisdom of generations before her, always knowing what was needed - not just in words but in the way she lived. Whether it was a quiet act of kindness, a meal made from scratch, or the simple way she made every space feel like home, she gave wholly of herself. She was a reflection of Proverbs 31: 26 (KJV): "She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness."and oh, the light in her eyes. It was the soft glow of kindness, the fire of unwavering faith, the gentle warmth of a love so deep it could never be put into words. It was the same light that told you everything would be okay, the same one they reminded you God was always near.
Marjorie was a devoted mother to five children: Bobby Lee Odle (deceased), Ginger Marie Odle (Bruce Siders), Glennis Floyd Odle (Debbie), Jeffrey Wayne Odle, and Kandy Lee Cole (Dale).
She's also survived by 11 grandchildren, Daniel Odle, Angela Price, Alisha Siders, Jessie Odle, Alana Siders, Bobby Odle, Brittany Siders, Bruce Siders, Logan Lee Cole, Michael Odle and Kaila Odle; 13 great-grandchildren: Avalyn Ridout, Elliott Emmert, Jamesyn Esser, Olivia Emmert, Vanessa Cole, Bentley Odle, Junior Purdy, Lawson Purdy, Lylah Odle, Grayson Cole, Brooks Purdy, Rilee Barnard, and Keeley Barnard.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Monnie Marie Seal Fraley, and her beloved son, Bobby Odle.
Her love and faith remain - woven into the lives she touched, the traditions she nurtured, and the quiet echoes of her presence in the places she made sacred. Though she is no longer with us in body, we rejoice in knowing that she has entered her eternal home, where she has undoubtedly heard the words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25: 23, KJV).
